AB has done a fantastic job in putting together this DVD. I’ve watched it from beginning to end twice so far. The DVD goes in depth on the whole MPFL system and does a great job of explaining all the finer nuances of this system. It is well produced and professionally put together. And Anthony’s passion for the game comes through throughout the entire DVD.
So what does this video give you? It shows you in great detail MPFL system and how you can take this game to the next level. And it does this by giving you a well thought out system that will allow you to make the game more realistic and closer to the real game of football.
Is this style for everyone? If you enjoy X’s and O’s and a game that will test your overall knowledge of the game… then MPFL is for you!

Congratulations and bravo to you, the MPFL and EF Planet! The MPFL System as demonstrated and explained on your DVD is excellent!
A few quick observations and comments: The description “Sports Simulation Strategy Game” cannot be more appropriate. If you are a student of the game, you can’t help but love this method of play. I believe this system could elevate the game to a height of appeal that it has yet to experience.
The presentation is clear, simple and easily understood. The simulation of penalties, tackles, broken tackles, passing, quarterback scrambling, pass coverage, etc. is outstanding. Multiple stoppages, players remaining stationary for a time, blocking, redirecting of players, among other similarities capture the essence of real football! These features also empower coaches with greater control of play development and the input of strategy over “chance”.
Regarding technical aspects of the presentation: the graphics, colors, setup, order and transitions are excellent, first rate. The entire package is professional and very appealing!
Through your DVD, you’ve given the Miniature Football Community the keys to the Maserati.
Much success to you with this System!
Best Wishes,

"The MPFL system is the reason why I am back and enjoying the hobby. This remarkable system inspired me to join the MPF league, start my decal business, and become a leading voice in this movement. The MPF and the MPFL are top-notch and have successfully done the impossible: To take the board game of EF, and make it playable at the adult level. This is something that I never dreamed possible, but it is here. I will do everything in my power to get the word out that this system is the best, and ONLY method of simulating football with miniatures."
"MPF is a throwback to the days when the imagination soared us to places we could not go; it is a throwback to the days when fathers and sons played and learned together.
The fun I've had playing in this system is light-years ahead of the fun of Madden Football, or any of the other contemporary video games. This system, when played at the "chess" level will do more to up your football I.Q. than any other tool available. I haven't had this much fun in years."
Good Job!,

"The Anthony Burgess (MPF) system has a lot to offer both the novice and seasoned veteran. The system addresses many things often overlooked by other, more basic football playing styles. Individual team chemistry comes into play with a weighted base format, specifically, allowing a coach to build their team with a wider variety of options. However, the system works equally well with non-weighted players.
Anthony's stick passing system, while maybe not for the total purist, works very well within the playing style he created around it. This is no great suprize since he is the acknowledged innovator of the first known stick passing style for the hobby. This allows the defense a play on the ball due to simulated "hang time" for each pass "thrown." The receivers must also find their way to the ball to make a catch, unlike the more traditional "Stop & Pop" passing method. As with any simulated passing method where hang time is incorporated, just finding an open receiver is no longer good enough to complete a pass. A coach, as the on-field QB, must now read and respect the coverages in specific, targeted throwing areas of the defense. Individual player abilities of the defenders must also be taken into account.
If I had to put this playing style into a catch-all term it would be a semi-complex "Read And React" style of play. Most of the coaching work goes into team building and play diagraming before the switch goes on. From the start of each play it develops into much more of an affair from the players perspectives, by position. Having the ability to adjust players as a play develops gives the game more of a player's feel while testing a coach's knowledge of every position in football situations. It is nice to have the best of both worlds wrapped up in one system.
I highly recommend that anyone try and learn this system. I believe that anyone with a football mind will immediately see the benefits and most should equally enjoy the experience the system has to offer."

"Since my introduction to this beautiful game back in the year of 19 and 76, i've watched this game grow from a plant to a forest.During the games maturation proccess, a great many a thing has occured. We have grown from single dots on helmets being mistaken for helmet logo's to a decaling process that will make picasso proud. Long gone are the days of watching these little combatents spin around and around in a circle hoping one will find its way towards and endzone.
The style of play that has been upon us since our childhood needed a facelift, and anthony burgess and his construction team spent seven years sheet rocking, hammering, drilling and painting a picture perfect style for us to enjoy. Look at the casino's in vegas in the 70's and look at them today, look at a mercedes benz in the 80's and look at one today, look at your clothes from years gone by and look at your clothes today, "EVERYTHING NEEDS UPDATING NO MATTER WHAT IT IS ", did Bill Gates stop at Windows 98?
Anthony burgess has created a system that is just like watching the NFL on any given Sunday. His pass placement creation has enabled coaches to put their WR'S in position to run real routes. The scale size board enables a coach to open up his playbook for a variety of plays, the multi stops allows you to develop a play to perfection. Its a beautiful thing to snap the ball and have your linemen back up so you can direct them for blocking schemes for the next stoppage and have your running back pick a hole to run through. It is sheer genious to have your players on magnets ready to react to a play when you feel the timing is right, just like lawrence taylor waiting to see were the back is going.
If any new coach is looking for a fresh and innovative way of playing professional football on a scale size board, this system is for you to explore. I lived accross the street from tudor back in the 70's, i used to go their at least three times a week, boy do i miss the great factory (I still smell the plastic in the air as i got on their freight elevators, will never forget it). But its a new day, will always buy miggle products thats what they are in business for right ! But i wanted and needed something more along the professional lines of playing. "THE MPFL IS CAPTIVATING, ENERGENIC, FRESH & NEW". In this system you actually have to conduct yourself like an NFL coach, no more worrying if another coach has a faster or stronger team, this style of play alleviates these concerns.
THANK YOU ANTHONY BURGESS FOR TAKING TIME AND GIVING US ALL SOMETHING NEW TO EMBRACE !"
